Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our children's home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with learning disabilities. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child, and promoting their independence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of skilled staff, providing emotional support and guidance to ensure excellent care and support to young people.
- Develop and implement care plans, working closely with social workers and family members to ensure positive outcomes for the children.
- Lead by example, setting high standards and expectations for the staff and young people, and promoting a culture of excellence and respect.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and safeguarding processes, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring the home operates efficiently and effectively.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and support.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support, making recommendations for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience of working in a residential children's setting, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- Experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification, or equivalent.
- Ability to work on call, and be flexible to meet the needs of the home and the children.
- Passion for providing high-quality care and support, and a commitment to promoting the well-being and independence of young people.
