Student Pharmacy Technician – salary based on Annex 21

(Year 1 – 70% Band 4, Year 2 – 75% Band 4)

This position presents an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic role within a collaborative and friendly team environment. The successful candidate will be stationed within the Pharmacy department, engaging in rotations across various pharmacy sections.
No prior hospital experience is required, as the individual will receive comprehensive training in areas such as aseptic services, radiopharmacy, ward medication management, dispensary operations, and supply chain management.
This role includes participation in a weekend schedule and public holiday shifts.

Essential Qualifications: -

Pharmacy Technician - Candidates must possess a recognized qualification such as BTec/NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent credential. Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications:- Candidates should either hold or be willing to pursue training as an accredited checking technician.

Student Technician: - A minimum of 4 National 5 or O grades at level 2 or higher, or an equivalent qualification is required.
