Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our CLA Team in Durham. As a Social Worker in this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people who are looked after by the local authority.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met through comprehensive care planning.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of care plans to ensure they are effective and aligned with the best interests of the child.
- Work closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to provide a stable and nurturing environment for each child.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children looked after, ensuring their voices are heard and their wishes are considered in care planning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families, particularly within a CLA or similar team.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and regulations concerning children in care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
