Production Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at CDH Recruitment Ltd. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging machinery, maintaining a high level of hygiene, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain packaging machinery to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Support the Departmental Manager in the production of orders, following company procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Report any maintenance requirements or repairs to the area supervisor or chief engineer.
Requirements:
  • No formal qualification required, but good general education and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work as a team and use own initiative.
  • Knowledge of hygiene practices and health & safety procedures.
  • Good IT skills and experience of working in a similar role or environment is desirable.
Working Hours:
  • Mondays to Fridays, with shift rotation each week.
  • Working shift hours are normally 8 hours, but may vary depending on start times and requirements.
  • Overtime and weekends are optional.
Pay Rate:
  • Pay rate depends on shift allowance.
