Senior Clinical Coding Specialist

King\u2019s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a Band 6 Senior Clinical Coding Analyst at Princess Royal University Hospital.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, an extensive knowledge of clinical coding rules and conventions, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and be able to meet strict monthly Trust deadlines.
The ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, nursing staff, and other health professionals is essential to this role as we move forward with clinical validation of coding and engagement.
The successful candidate must hold the Accredited Clinical Coding (ACC) Qualification.
You will have access to training courses and workshops delivered by our in-house Clinical Coding Training Team, and support to further your career in clinical coding.
Main Duties of the Job- Assist a small team of coders to meet deadlines.
- Mentor junior coders.
- Coordinate meetings with clinical staff to validate coded data.
The right candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
