Waste Management Driver

We are seeking a skilled Waste Management Driver to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. in a temporary role that may lead to a longer-term assignment or even a permanent position.

**Job Summary:**

We are working closely with a local authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Waste and Recycling Level 1 Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with the physical collection of designated waste and recycling.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication and cleaning, in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure vehicles are in a roadworthy condition and report any defects to the Recycling & Waste Supervisor and Vehicle Maintenance Workshop.
  • Assist with the physical collection of designated waste and recycling, including checking containers for contamination.

**Requirements:**

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in waste and recycling collection systems.
  • Considerable experience in waste and recycling collection activities and processes.
  • Experience of multi-point driving activities and waste and recycling collection driving duties.

  • Candidates must be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
