This role is crucial in ensuring the timely procurement, supply, and delivery of raw materials, assemblies, and support services, which are vital to maintaining production levels at Barclay Meade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and distribution of weekly procurement reports to key supply chain partners
  • Analysis of exception messages from the ERP system and placement of purchase orders to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery
  • Preparation of document packs (electronic) in support of custom part order needs
  • Management of selected suppliers to control inventories and ensure timely flow of materials
  • Development and maintenance of working knowledge of commodities and associated supplier base
  • Implementation of process improvements as necessary
  • Adherence to the company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems
  • Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in supply chain control and purchasing
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with the MS Office suite; advanced analytical skills are a plus
  • Experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts is desirable
  • Integrity and ethical practice in all situations, with respect for all individuals regardless of their status or position
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
