Job Summary:
Crescent Purchasing Consortium is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Contracting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the People category, overseeing the production of purchasing agreements, and delivering the whole procurement cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the People category, including the production of purchasing agreements and the delivery of the whole procurement cycle.
- Oversee the Contract Manager, Senior Procurement Officer, and Procurement Officer(s) within the People category.
- Provide procurement support and guidance to our member and supplier base.
- Develop, issue, and evaluate tender documentation in accordance with public sector procurement legislation.
- Manage a small team of direct reports, providing training, mentoring, and support.
Requirements:
- Extensive procurement experience within the public sector.
- Detailed working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation.
- Experience of working in the education sector.
- Experience in managing a small team of direct reports.
- Broad-based procurement experience of a range of procurement categories and services.
- Commercial acumen, including a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes and added value via the procurement process.
- Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) is highly desirable.
