Platinum Food Partners Limited specializes in B2B meat and poultry trading, buying products from within the UK and Europe and supplying to UK manufacturers and wholesalers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Previous experience working as a buyer / purchaser in an FMCG Role or a role that involves negotiation and building relationships
  • Good computer skills, including Google Sheets/Excel & Word
  • Experience managing relationships with suppliers
  • Be able to manage your own time effectively, using your own initiative
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driving Licence
Desirable Skills
  • Familiar with Apple products iPhone/iMacs
  • Similar industry knowledge – Pet Food sector experience would be a bonus
Key Responsibilities
  • Calling and emailing suppliers to negotiate prices and build relationships
  • Entering data into the CRM and sharing this data with the sales team
  • Calling transport companies to negotiate rates and shop around for the best deals
  • Liaising with accounts and sales team on various matters
  • Managing photos and documents received from suppliers
  • Visiting suppliers to build and grow relationships
  • Attending trade shows to acquire new suppliers
  • Learning market prices to source products at the best prices
