Job Title: Senior Cost Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Real Estate team, you will be responsible for leading the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) specific deliverables within large projects or direct MEP commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish early budgets and cost plans for projects
  • Manage design teams to ensure budget compliance
  • Tender and procure MEP services
  • Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts
  • Interface with clients and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards
  • Degree or HNC level qualification
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and supply chain
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
