We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing complex schemes and managing a diverse range of clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) to lead our civil engineering team and contribute to the success of our clients. You will be working on a variety of projects, from appraisal through to construction, across different sectors including residential, commercial, and retirement & care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of civil engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including local authorities, developers, and architects.
  3. Oversee the planning process, from pre-app through to condition discharge, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Manage civil engineering projects, combining drainage, external works, and highways elements, to ensure that they meet the required standards.
  5. Identify and develop training opportunities for junior team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  1. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
  2. A degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
  3. Proven experience in line management, team management, and resource coordination.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
