Field-based Engineer Surveyor – Cranes / Lifting Equipment - Scotland
£40-45p/h – outside IR35 + average 45-50hr billing week + travel time + mileage + overnight accommodation & food allowance (as required) + collaborative & supportive global business environment

A leading global Professional Services organisation is seeking an experienced field-based Engineer Surveyor for Cranes / Lifting Equipment to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct high-quality testing and inspections on behalf of a highly successful, global organisation
  2. Test and inspect various Cranes and other Lifting Equipment to ensure compliance with current statutory requirements under LOLER/PUWER
  3. Undertake surveys across a diverse range of industries, including Nuclear, Automotive, Public Sector, Mobile Plant, Food manufacturing, Chemical manufacturing, Banking, Retail, Logistics, Emergency Services, Transport and Construction
  4. Produce comprehensive and detailed inspection reports
  5. Liaise and plan your schedule with internal departments to ensure works are completed
  6. Build and maintain long-term client relationships and internal business relations
Requirements:
  1. Minimum NVQ3 or HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline
  2. Residing in Scotland, you will ideally be happy to work both locally and across Scotland depending on survey project requirements
  3. Experience as an Engineer Surveyor/Inspector for all manner of Lifting Equipment, including MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLTs, etc.
  4. License to operate (LTO) advantageous
  5. Excellent working knowledge of testing and inspecting equipment to LOLER/PUWER/H&S regulations
  6. Comfortable working at height/Working at height certificate
  7. Accurate and timely reporting experience
  8. Confident verbal and written communication skills
  9. UK driving License and use of own car
