Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and practices to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents, and injuries.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure all site risk assessments are up-to-date and reviewed regularly.
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
  • Chair the health and safety committee and drive results.
  • Design and implement promotional campaigns to maintain health and safety awareness.
  • Support site inductions and provide guidance on health and safety responsibilities.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO accreditation in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Participate in external audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in OHS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in delivering training is desirable.
