Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and practices to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents, and injuries.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure all site risk assessments are up-to-date and reviewed regularly.
- Investigate and report on all accidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Chair the health and safety committee and drive results.
- Design and implement promotional campaigns to maintain health and safety awareness.
- Support site inductions and provide guidance on health and safety responsibilities.
- Assist in maintaining ISO accreditation in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Participate in external audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate in OHS or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in delivering training is desirable.
