Our client is a leading garden centre group within the industry. They're passionate about helping customers cultivate beautiful outdoor spaces and gardens.

About the Role

As the Hardy Plant Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the hardy plant section of the garden centre, ensuring that it's well-stocked and beautifully presented. This role requires a knowledgeable and customer-focused leader who can inspire and manage a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of plant specialists within the hardy plant department.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the department, including stock management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on a wide range of hardy plants, including roses, shrubs, and perennials.
  • Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and presentation within the department.
  • Train and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience working within a garden centre and will have knowledge of hardy plants including roses, gardening and plant care. Having a passion for horticulture is an absolute must. You will have strong leadership skills and will be confident in running a small team and can train, develop, and motivate the people around you.
