Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that students with SEN receive the necessary accommodations and modifications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with autism and moderate learning difficulties, promoting their inclusion and participation in class.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly autism and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students with SEN.
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, with a commitment to promoting inclusion and equality for all students.
