Position Summary

The Senior BIM Manager plays a crucial role in directing the BIM processes throughout the entire project lifecycle. This position ensures adherence to ISO 19650 standards and UK BIM Standards while collaborating with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, and other stakeholders to optimize project outcomes through effective BIM strategies. The role leverages advanced BIM software and methodologies to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and precision in project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute BIM execution plans (BEP) for various projects, empowering team members during the implementation phase.
  • Establish, implement, and uphold BIM standards, protocols, and workflows in accordance with ISO 19650 guidelines.
  • Lead the development and management of 3D models and related BIM data.
  • Encourage collaboration and communication among project stakeholders to guarantee timely and coordinated BIM deliverables.
  • Oversee BIM quality control and quality assurance (QC/QA) procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technologies and industry best practices.
  • Define and communicate BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for the project team.
  • Engage with project stakeholders to ensure understanding and fulfillment of BIM requirements.
  • Select, configure, and manage BIM software tools that align with project objectives.
  • Provide technical support and training for project team members on BIM software applications.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design and construction teams through effective BIM collaboration.
  • Maintain the integrity of the project's BIM models and data.
  • Oversee the integration of BIM data with other project management and analytical tools.
  • Facilitate the flow of information among various project stakeholders using BIM.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data exchange throughout different project phases.
  • Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to verify compliance with project standards.
  • Ensure models accurately reflect design intent and meet project specifications.
  • Implement quality control measures to sustain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor project performance metrics related to BIM efficiency and implementation.
  • Identify potential BIM-related risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations in BIM processes.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and principles of building information modeling.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIM, or related fields.

Additional Qualifications / Certifications

  • Proficient in software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Photoshop.

Prior Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in themed entertainment projects is an added advantage.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and their application in BIM workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Mega BIM Projects.
