Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Tyman UK and Ireland. As a key member of our Access 360 portfolio, you will play a crucial role in transforming the security, comfort, and sustainability of living and working spaces through our expert touch.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust product designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the product development process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and incorporate best practice design principles.
- Ensure product designs are compliant, robust, and fit for purpose, with a focus on quality, cost, and speed to market.
- Communicate design intent through APQP process to key stakeholders.
- Administer engineering change control process and approve supplier requests for engineering approval.
- Proven mechanical product design capabilities and proficiency in 3D design packages, such as Solid Works and driveworks.
- Experience in quantitative value analysis and FMEA studies, with the ability to operate Finite Element Analysis simulations.
- Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Ability to find creative solutions to complex engineering problems and analytical thinking.
- Understanding of latest industry standards and regulations.
