Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and methodical Compliance Specialist to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in re-establishing our compliance and standardization department, driving business growth and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Coordinate Compliance Projects: Develop and manage robust project plans to deliver compliance-related objectives, working closely with the Engineering team and Group Product Compliance Manager.
- Standardize Certification Processes: Create and embed standard certification processes and procedures to ensure efficient fulfillment of sales orders and reduce parts costs.
- Develop a Standards Department: Collaborate with the Head of Operations and Engineering Manager to establish a standards department, identifying improvement opportunities and developing joined-up business processes for revision control, obsolescence, and superseding of all drawings.
- Ensure Compliance and Conformity: Ensure process and product compliance are in place and embedded, adhering to all company health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Standardize Products: Define and realign standards and standardization of all products and parts, managing all engineering-associated documented procedures and guidance notes.
- Quality Control: Control revisions, obsolescence, and superseding of all drawings, ensuring all departments have clarity of current standards/latest revisions at all times.
- Continual Improvement: Align all Engineering NCRs, ECRs, and CAPAs and embed into the Standards department.
- Knowledge Centre: Develop the Standards department as the central hub and knowledge centre of all products and engineered parts through clear collaboration and communication throughout the business.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies business, with a strong understanding of Machinery compliance (ATEX, EMC, LVD, CE) or equivalent.
- Skills: Highly organized and methodical approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, creative problem-solving, and a proven track record of success in similar roles.
