Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled procurement professional to join our team at Pod Talent. As a world-leading consumer goods business, we are committed to driving our global procurement agenda with sustained investment and transformation across strategic sourcing.

The successful candidate will lead chemicals procurement projects across the UK, designing sustainable and resilient category strategy and driving key value creation initiatives. This role sits within our global procurement hub, which provides strategic oversight for all group procurement and designs sourcing processes and implements innovative new procurement strategies across Europe.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for devising procurement strategy, working with stakeholders and suppliers across regions to ensure all procurement is both cost-effective and sustainable. You will report directly to the Group Procurement Lead for chemicals and have the autonomy to design long-term sourcing strategy and deliver procurement projects alongside the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead direct sourcing projects with a focus on chemicals, agricultural, pharmaceutical, or ingredients-led businesses
  • Design and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and sustainability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective procurement processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of procurement policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in direct sourcing, preferably in a chemical manufacturing, agricultural, pharmaceutical, or ingredients-led business
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
