Postdoctoral Research Assistant: Neurostimulation in Affective Disorders

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our Translational Neurostimulation Laboratory, led by Professor Jacinta O'Shea. The successful candidate will be based in the University Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct studies of human brain plasticity using cognitive and physiological measures in healthy volunteers and clinical populations with affective disorders.
- Design and conduct multimodal brain stimulation experiments, combining behavioural, clinical, electrophysiological, and neuroimaging readouts.
- Develop and implement computational models and data processing techniques to analyze experimental data.
- Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement new research projects.
- PhD in a relevant discipline, such as clinical neuroscience, psychiatry, or psychology.
- Excellent academic track record, including publications appropriate to career stage.
- Experience of running experiments in healthy adults and clinical cohorts.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Matlab and R.
- Knowledge of statistics and data processing techniques.
The University of Oxford offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year.
