Role: Senior Social Worker - Fostering Support
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our fostering team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being and development of children placed in foster care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and support to foster parents, empowering them to create nurturing and enriching environments for fostered children.
- Conduct thorough assessments of foster families, ensuring their suitability and competence in providing care that meets the highest standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Advocate for the best interests of children in foster care, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/BSc Hons Social Work).
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
- Proven experience in working with children and families within a fostering setting.
- A strong understanding of child protection principles and legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
