Job Summary:
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Business Partner to join our client's central procurement team on a 12-month fixed term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of procurement activities within nominated categories and contribute to the management of all indirect spend across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to drive value and efficiency within nominated categories.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including indirect buyers and business partners, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Manage stakeholder requisitions and purchase orders within the IFS system, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Work closely with external suppliers to negotiate contractual terms and prices, driving best value solutions for the business.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Central Procurement team's purpose, including increasing the involvement and influence of Central Procurement in Group Indirect spend.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in indirect procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement skills, techniques, and best practice.
- Demonstrable examples of initiating and implementing continuous improvement or change initiatives.
- Experience of negotiating contractual terms and prices with suppliers.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to assess and work with fluctuating priorities.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop proposals and solutions to complex challenges.
