We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Anderselite LTD. This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers a competitive package up to £60k.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and advice to the business on compliance with statutory requirements and company standards through regular site visits and observations.
- Respond to requests for advice on SHE matters, working closely with the SHE Manager and other stakeholders as needed.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential SHE hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure SHE considerations are integrated into project planning and delivery.
- Assist the business in implementing OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Monitor company projects using a dedicated system and highlight areas for improvement.
- Investigate incidents, producing detailed reports to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Support the SHE Manager in developing and updating policies and procedures related to SHE.
- Work with senior managers and directors to develop and implement divisional-level strategies for SHE improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with new legislation and industry best practices through regular reading and site visits.
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks and briefings to raise awareness on SHE and sustainability issues.
- Provide training as needed to support the business in achieving SHE excellence.
- NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate (minimum)
- NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ L5 in OHAS (desired)
- Relevant experience working in a SHE team
- Proven ability to provide proactive support to operational business units
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK legislation related to construction, civil engineering, and highways
