Job Title: Bank Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bank Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, deliver hotel/restaurant standards, and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

About the Role:

As a Bank Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and delicious menus, working with residents to tailor menus to their needs, and managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. You will also be responsible for helping to create a warm and welcoming environment, working within budget, and completing regular audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment
  • Good understanding of HACCP
