Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Children Missing Education (CME) team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will assist in meeting statutory responsibilities related to Children Missing Education and tracking pupils in accordance with national legislative requirements and local policy.

The role will involve identifying CME and implementing measures to safeguard vulnerable children. This will involve working closely with Monitoring Officers who carry out home visits. The successful candidate will be based at Sand Martin House in Peterborough and will be responsible for investigating the whereabouts of children reported as missing through available tracking processes.

The candidate will be the first point of contact for CME referrals and Leaving City Forms. Investigations will determine whether cases are moved forward to Monitoring Officers for home visits. Teamwork, superb organisational skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role. A positive attitude is also beneficial in this small but busy team.

The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Appointment to this post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
