The Role: Deputy Service Manager

As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our dedicated team of care professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services that promote well-being, independence, and positive outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, recruit, develop, and train staff within established frameworks, creating effective rotas to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Promote best practices and quality standards across all aspects of care provision, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, families, and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes individual needs.
  • Support the Local Service Manager in managing vacant properties effectively, contributing to efficient service operations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising teams within a social care setting is essential.
  • A recognized qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing person-centered support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges and understanding relevant support planning processes.
  • A proactive approach to risk assessment and safeguarding, ensuring the well-being of all involved.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for administrative tasks and communication.
