Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and execute tendering processes, ensuring adherence to procurement regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance, ensuring terms are met, and value for money is achieved.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance, fostering positive relationships and resolving any issues that arise.
- Lead procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Utilize e-procurement systems effectively, with knowledge of Atamis being desirable.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of procurement regulations and their application.
- Proven track record in procurement within the public sector, preferably NHS, with substantial experience in tendering and frameworks.
- Competent in stakeholder management, contract law, and project management.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and e-procurement systems; Atamis knowledge is advantageous.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in procurement or related field.
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) preferred but not essential.
Essential Experience:
- Extensive experience in procurement, particularly within the public sector or NHS.
- Proven experience in managing tenders and frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
- Experience with e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
Questions:
- Do you have experience managing procurement processes in a large, complex organization, ideally within the NHS or public sector?
- Have you successfully led and managed tendering and framework activities, to ensure compliance with procurement regulations?
- Are you proficient in using e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office, with any additional knowledge of Atamis being a bonus?
- Have you developed and maintained effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, demonstrating your ability to resolve issues and deliver value for money?
- Can you demonstrate experience in managing procurement projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines?
- Can you start immediately and commit to a temporary role, if successful and once fully compliant?
