Location : Various sites across the Midlands, South Yorkshire, and Derbyshire

Contract Type : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time options may be available upon request.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of the Commissioning Engineers is to oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for projects, ensuring compliance with both Client and KIER standards, processes, and protocols.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Collaborating with Client representatives to develop the Design Phase Commissioning Plan.
  • Leading and documenting commissioning meetings at various project stages, including a HAZCOMM review at the start of the commissioning phase.
  • Ensuring commissioning documentation is consistently updated and accessible on the Common Data Environment to verify testing requirements are met.
  • Updating drawings and documents modified during the commissioning process and preparing them for final issuance.
  • Overseeing the reliability and performance testing phases, including the creation and approval of inspection and test plans.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in addressing any post-completion defects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This role is well-suited for individuals who possess:

  • Proven experience in the safe and effective commissioning of intricate projects within the water sector.
  • Familiarity with sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and standard M&E equipment.
  • The capability to produce clear and concise reports as part of the commissioning deliverables.
  • A valid CSCS or ECS card in a relevant discipline.
