About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Lead to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Corporate Technology, Risk Organization, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of complex software solutions, leveraging your expertise in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Software Development: Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues, improving overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Community Building: Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Formal training or certification on system design concepts and proficient advanced experience in one or more programming languages.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Agile Methodologies: Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Cloud Native Experience: Practical cloud native experience.
