We cater to a diverse range of needs, from traditional telecom applications and webscale service provider infrastructures to offshore oil and gas projects.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the test and qualification of the PFE product to ensure compliance with safety and functional standards. This involves confirming that the product operates in line with feature descriptions and system design specifications.
The ASN PFE is a critical component used to provide high-voltage electrical power to undersea communication cable systems, requiring extremely high availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system-level testing.
- Lead and organize internal and external qualification of the product, including EMI/EMC, Environmental, and Safety testing.
- Technical lead/supervise a team of engineers/subcontractors.
- Drive collective decisions in verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, safety, and durability.
- Define and plan required test set-ups.
- Plan and manage capital expenditures for test equipment and setup in the R&D Lab.
- Manage the flow-down of product and systems requirements, specifications to the test strategy.
- Create test and validation strategies, test plans, perform tests, create reports, and issue analysis related to new products before launch and continuation products on request of different departments and projects.
- Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new products, rigs, and jigs, as well as software/firmware related for various test purposes, including simulation and test automation.
- Estimate projects, tasks, and targets agreed in alignment with the yearly department quality plan.
Required Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in test development, process management, and implementation.
- At least 5 years of software and hardware, and system testing experience on electronics products and product qualification.
- Experience in planning test set-ups, lab instruments, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
