Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced staff to provide support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying triggers and barriers to learning and implementing strategies to overcome them
- Apply knowledge of psychological theory to support students in the classroom
- Help create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Provide general support to students with additional needs, including assistance with daily living tasks and mobility
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Psychology or related field
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
