Job Title: Finance Manager

Essential Employment is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the achievement of corporate objectives and those of our Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial advice to Directors and Service Managers, ensuring the provision of appropriate financial guidance to support informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate the overall improvement in the management and performance of financial administration, with a focus on financial and operational management of services.
  • Develop and maintain technical accounting areas, including budgetary control, financial analysis, and government financial returns.
  • Prepare financial appraisals and performance projections, including input to the financial implications of service proposals.
  • Respond to and action recommendations raised and agreed with Internal and External Audit, within agreed timescales.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial management, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
