Position Overview

Mobile Heavy Machinery Technician

Join a leading organization in the heavy machinery sector as a Mobile Service Technician. This role involves working in various locations, providing essential maintenance and repair services for heavy plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance on heavy machinery based on client requirements and established maintenance protocols.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to perform diagnostics and deliver effective solutions.
  • Perform thorough inspections and fault finding to identify potential issues, recommending preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional communication and fostering positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Apprentice training or equivalent experience in the heavy machinery or construction equipment sectors.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or a similar qualification.
  • A clean driving record and relevant certification to access construction sites.
  • Proven experience as a field service technician, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction machinery.
Additional Information

This position offers opportunities for ongoing training and support, along with the potential for overtime. Candidates should be adept at diagnosing faults in various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dumpers, and forklifts.
