About the Role

Sportyjob is seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team based in the UK. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing credit risks within our EMEA portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine financial data for new customers and existing customers seeking expansion through our brands, distribution channels, and/or markets.
  • Analyze economic trends, generate risk-related reports, oversee credit limits, and present insights to management, thereby enhancing risk strategies and ensuring business stability.
  • Approve credit limits and payment terms to minimize risk, while generating future sales and developing long-standing, profitable relationships with our customer base.
  • Maintain a detailed overview of customer master data and relevant risks, adhering to company policies and legal requirements when managing data systems.
  • Monitor macro and microeconomic data and trends to anticipate risks.
  • Provide detailed and up-to-date reports and data to senior management with commentary, supporting strategic business decisions regarding credit risk policies and scoring models.
  • Act as a key point of contact with credit rating agencies, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing risk-related training to relevant departments.
  • Participate in risk-based meetings and prepare/present credit risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risk indicators and areas of concern or opportunity for improvement.

Requirements

  • A background in a credit-related function – risk management, financial accounting, and/or an analytical role.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English communication, with the ability to build strong working relationships and present in an effective and influential manner.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel, VBA functions, and Power BI.
  • A comprehensive understanding of financial statements including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
