About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Investigation Engineer to join our Geo-Environmental team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to contribute to the growth and success of our regional team, part of Tetra Tech's national geo-environmental resource.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, procurement, supervision, and management of geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations.
  • Produce desk study assessments, collect site data, and generate detailed factual and interpretative reports.
  • Undertake ground gas and groundwater monitoring works and assessment.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in geology, engineering geology, or a relevant environmental science discipline.
  • Have experience of ground investigation, including scoping, set-up, logging, supervision, laboratory scheduling, groundwater, and ground gas monitoring.
  • Be willing to travel for ground investigation works, with at least 50% of the role being site-based and potentially involving overnight stays.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fully IT literate.
  • Have a good understanding of health, safety, and environmental management as applied to ground investigation.
  • Hold a full, preferably clean, driving license.
  • Be a team player with strong social, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • CAT and Genny Training
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • First Aid (3-day courses)
  • CSCS card relevant to the position.
