Job Title: Clinic Healthcare Assistant

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality support to senior outpatient clinical staff in delivering first-class outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist registered nurses in the assessment and planning of patient care, participating in the implementation and evaluation of nursing care without direct supervision.
  • Chaperone during patient consultations, assist consultants with injections and minor procedures, and participate in wound assessment and dressing changes.
  • Support radiologists during ultrasound clinics, organizing clinic lists, preparing patients, and assisting with sterile procedures.
  • Ensure the safe use and maintenance of equipment, monitor stock levels, and participate in the evaluation of complaints and incidents.
  • Work within the organization's clinical policies and guidelines, manage workload, and prioritize tasks without direct supervision.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work within own level of competence, recognize limitations, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Focus on patient care with some guidance but without direct supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, minimizing the risk of avoidable Healthcare Associated Infection.
