Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial control and planning for our business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential financial control and planning for the business unit.
  • Maintain the financial oversight for the business units.
  • Complete month-end process for multiple locations in finance systems according to reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare weekly flash, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Provide analysis of opportunities and risks for sites.
  • Ensure compliance with company internal control procedures.
  • Proactively engage with site managers from different sites and divisional management to enhance understanding of their respective financials and assist in optimizing financial performance.
  • Weekly business review calls with management and sites to ensure key financial areas are monitored and variances challenged.
  • Monthly preparation of customer reporting.
  • Generate and present a range of financial and ad-hoc reports for use by both internal and external customers.
  • Assist with pricing proposals for new customers and preparation of capex papers.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Assist in financial analysis for new projects.

Requirements:

  • Part or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in logistics or energy sectors.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
