Band 5/6 Trainee Nurse Specialist in Intravitreal Injections

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Nurse to join our team as a Specialist Practitioner, equipped to independently administer intravitreal injections.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, innovative thinking, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment. Strong communication skills and sound decision-making abilities are essential, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Prior experience in ophthalmic nursing is crucial, as is a comprehensive understanding of the field.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with the medical Retina team to provide services grounded in best practices and national standards.

Additionally, you will engage in various outpatient clinical activities, including photodynamic therapy and Fluorescein angiography (FA), as well as leading nurse-led clinics.

This role requires cross-site coverage across multiple locations, ensuring comprehensive service delivery.
