Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Pension Actuarial Consultants to assist with various client projects. Potential assignments may involve:

  • Conducting actuarial valuations and financial updates
  • Performing asset-liability modeling
  • Engaging in GMP equalization modeling

The role entails collaborating with a partner or director to evaluate client challenges and define project scope and deliverables. You will be tasked with constructing models, reviewing documentation, valuation reports, investment performance, and asset allocation. Your responsibilities will include formulating solutions based on modeling outcomes and preparing comprehensive reports. Participation in client meetings alongside a partner or director will be required as necessary.

Required Qualifications

As a Pension Actuarial Consultant, you should possess extensive knowledge and experience in pension financing, risk management, and regulatory frameworks, including the Pensions Acts of 2005 and 2021, finance acts, TPR codes of practice, and actuarial standards such as TAS 100 and TAS 300. Additionally, you should have experience in the following areas:

  • Fellowship with the Institute of Actuaries - fully qualified or partially qualified
  • Proficiency in applying actuarial techniques and methodologies to develop customized models using Excel or other software to advise clients on the costs and risks associated with various initiatives
