This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in establishing our ecology team as the business continues to expand.

As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for supporting the wider group with ecology and BNG assessments, conducting site and client visits, and carrying out habitat surveys, EIA, and enhancement plans. You will also coordinate external freelancers and contractors for ecological surveys and assist with planning submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the wider group with ecology and BNG assessments
* Conduct site and client visits across the region
* Carry out habitat surveys, EIA, and enhancement plans
* Coordinate external freelancers and contractors for ecological surveys
* Assist with planning submissions

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a similar role (Ecologist, EIA, BNG Specialist, or similar)
* BNG experience including impact assessments
* Ecological survey experience
* Experience with purchasing biodiversity units and credits as part of an offsetting scheme
* Full Driving licence and access to a car
* Consultancy experience strongly desired
