Night Transport Coordinator – 4on 4off Schedule

Overview

At Gregory Group, we are currently in search of a Night Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic transport team. This role is essential for overseeing the operational aspects of our logistics processes during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Transport Manager in leading and inspiring the transport team to optimize the use of resources for enhanced operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Provide guidance on daily transport operations, including dispatch reviews and ongoing tasks. Collaborate closely with our clients to ensure seamless operation across all logistics activities. Manage and debrief drivers to ensure effective communication and performance. Optimize resource utilization by planning ahead and fully utilizing available assets. Deliver regular updates to the Transport Manager regarding client-related matters and operational insights, offering recommendations as necessary. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards through regular monitoring and audits. Address inquiries through various communication channels. Assist in generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and daily operational statistics. Support compliance initiatives in accordance with company policies. Provide direct assistance during breakdowns to minimize disruptions. Foster positive relationships with team members, offering support and collaboration.

Essential Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar logistics role is advantageous. Strong communication skills across all levels. Comprehensive geographical knowledge of the UK. Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on prioritizing tasks. Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Desirable Qualifications:

International Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
