Role Overview

Located in the Exeter office with a hybrid working model, you will be an integral member of the Real Estate team, focusing specifically on clients within the Energy sector and addressing their unique interests and requirements. The team has cultivated extensive expertise across diverse projects and technologies, and your knowledge will contribute to enhancing the team's overall capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include managing options and leases, power purchase agreements, easements, and grid connection agreements, representing funders, landowners, and developers involved in various renewable energy technologies. You will collaborate with corporate, construction, and planning teams to deliver a comprehensive service for clients engaged in renewable energy initiatives.

In this position, you will also have the chance to mentor and assist the development of junior team members, ensuring that all team members possess the skills and confidence necessary to provide outstanding client service.

Regarding business development, you will be encouraged to engage in thought leadership and networking opportunities, supported by experienced colleagues, to enhance both the firm's and your personal profile within the Energy sector.

Candidate Profile

As a driven and ambitious Real Estate Solicitor or Associate, you take pride in delivering exceptional client service and inspire your colleagues to do the same. You have developed a keen interest in working with Energy sector clients and actively seek to immerse yourself in the renewable energy landscape to provide insightful and commercially relevant advice. Staying informed about the latest industry developments is a priority for you.

You will demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, enabling you to work strategically with clients and as part of a collaborative team. Your resilience under pressure, coupled with effective organizational skills, will allow you to meet deadlines consistently. You possess excellent rapport-building abilities and are thorough, detail-oriented, and able to appreciate the broader context for your clients, taking pride in maintaining high standards in your work.
