Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the nuclear industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering and managing technical studies, designing mechanical processes, and providing technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and manage technical studies related to mechanical handling, powder technologies, and glovebox operations.
  • Design and develop mechanical processes, from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design and construction commissioning phase support.
  • Provide technical support to our clients, including technical networking and documentation review.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant degree, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience working on UK nuclear sites.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering design and team management in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience of mechanical studies delivery, considering manufacture, testing, construction commissioning, operation, maintenance recovery, and decommissioning aspects.
  • Recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME).
