HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

Pertemps Birmingham Industrial is seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to and from local manufacturing plants and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and collect goods to and from local manufacturing plants and suppliers
  • Work on a part-time basis, with ad-hoc shifts, mainly afternoons and nights
  • Operate curtain-sided trailers and make sequenced time-critical deliveries locally
  • Be based near Junction 4 M42
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid CE Licence for at least 12 months
  • Hold a valid CPC and Digi tacho card
  • Be flexible to undertake additional days/runs at the customer's request
  • Be willing to extend daily hours in the event of driver absence
  • Commit to an ongoing part-time role
  • Complete a practical driving assessment and SSOW induction
  • Pass a drug and alcohol test upon registration
