Job Description

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join their team based in Reigate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reinstatement and insurance projects, with excellent contract administration and principal design skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake initial visits to properties to prepare detailed scopes of work
  • Oversee works on site as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer
  • Look at structurally unstable buildings and survey structures to produce technical drawings and solutions for reinstatement works and emergency improvement
  • Work predominantly on reinstatement / insurance projects
  • Make drawings, specifications, and computer models of structures for building contractors
  • Liaise with designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs
Requirements:
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Building Surveying or construction
  • MRICS or MCIOB are advantageous but not essential
  • Willing to travel across the South of England and spend one night away every fortnight
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent communication skills and people skills
Remuneration:
  • Salary £30k - £55k - (DOE- Potentially more for the right candidate)
  • 25 Days holiday allowance plus BH
  • Pension
  • Package to be discussed at interview
