Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our International Accounting & Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a best-in-class accounting function, supporting our local and international financial reporting, internal controls, intercompany and transfer pricing activities, and new business launches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review month-end journals and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly reflected.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company's financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP standards.
  • Close Process Support: Prepare flux and variance explanations as part of the monthly close process.
  • Internal and External Reporting: Prepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Statutory Adjustments: Prepare statutory adjustments for applicable entities.
  • GAAP to STAT Reconciliations: Review balances for certain areas of both US GAAP ledgers and Local GAAP ledgers to ensure any GAAP to STAT differences are timely addressed.
  • Audit Support: Provide support for the annual US financial statement audit, periodic internal audits, and statutory audits.
  • Process Improvement: Build, document, and support process improvements.
  • VAT Register Maintenance: Maintain the VAT register for VAT returns and submissions.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the International accounting team as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: CPA, ACCA, or ACA certification.
  • Analytical and Excel Skills: Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, etc.
  • Management Accounting and Financial Accounting: Working knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods.
  • Teamwork: Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Foreign Currency and Intercompany Experience: Experience/understanding of foreign currency and inter-company relationship and implications.
  • Oracle and XERO Experience: Experience of Oracle and XERO is highly desirable.
