Position: Advanced Clinical Support Apprentice
Full-time commitment: 37 hours per week
Contract duration: 2 years (fixed-term)
Salary Band: £25,362 - £27,486 (Annex 21)
Opportunities available across NHS Grampian
NHS Grampian is actively seeking multiple candidates for the role of Advanced Clinical Support Apprentice within various nursing teams, encompassing both hospital and community environments, including acute care, health and social care partnerships, mental health, and learning disabilities.
In collaboration with Medical and Nursing professionals, as well as the Practice Education Team, the apprentice will receive comprehensive support to learn how to provide exceptional care to patients while pursuing a recognized qualification that will facilitate their advancement in the healthcare sector.
Successful candidates will enter a 2-year training contract and will engage in a structured training program aimed at achieving the SVQ Healthcare Support (clinical) qualification at SCQF level 7. Completing this training will enable progression into a band 3 Healthcare Support Worker role.
Applicants should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards learning. A compassionate and caring disposition is essential, along with the ability to perform practical tasks with precision and accuracy. This role is diverse, engaging, and rewarding, and NHS Grampian is eager to support individuals with the potential and ambition to become integral members of the team.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must possess five National 5 qualifications at Grade A, B, or C (or equivalent SCQF Level 5 / 6) in English / ESOL, Mathematics, a Science, and two additional subjects of their choice.
