Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. As a member of our staff, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Pupil Progress and Assessment: Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to ensure high achievement and personal development.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils and maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and carers.
  • School Values and Ethos: Uphold the school's values and contribute to its community-focused ethos.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
  • Curriculum Knowledge and Teaching Strategies: A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Pupil Engagement and Support: Ability to inspire and engage pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Communication and Organisation: Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Differentiated Lessons and Support: Experience in planning differentiated lessons and providing tailored support to meet the needs of individual learners.
