Job Overview

**Job Title:** Steel Erector

**Job Type:** Permanent

**Salary:** £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our client's team. Our client specializes in steel construction and is looking to expand their workforce with a dedicated professional experienced in erecting steel structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect steel structures, frameworks, and other components on construction sites
  • Assemble and install steel beams, columns, and girders according to specifications
  • Operate cranes and other lifting equipment to position steel components
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure project timelines are met
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Perform welding and bolting tasks as required
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the erection process
Requirements
  • Proven experience in steel erection and construction
  • Relevant certification or qualification in construction or a related field (NVQ, CSCS card, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in steel erection
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
