Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs across the site.
  • Maintain high safety standards at all times.
  • Implement planned maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of production plant.
  • Deliver cost-effective and reliable maintenance of all site utility services.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvements and any energy-saving initiatives to the plant.
  • Maintain appropriate systems, checks, procedures, records, and tests to meet site requirements.
  • Assist in the management of spare parts stock level availability.
  • Work with production and technical areas to assist in troubleshooting processing problems.
  • Assist with the training and instruction of operatives.
  • Work on CI projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Fully apprenticeship-trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of fault finding and repair plus installation work.
  • Experienced with PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Able to understand technical drawings.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
What We Offer:
  • Salary of £39-40K plus £9K shift allowance.
  • Panama shift pattern working 12 hours days and nights.
  • 2 weeks working 7am to 7pm.
  • 2 weeks working 7pm to 7am.
